Theodor Seuss Geisel, who would later become known as Dr. Seuss, was born on March 2nd, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He had a happy childhood and got entertained by the stories he read at home. His father was an editor of the newspaper, and so there were newspapers all around the house that he could get his hands on.
Many people wonder how Dr. Seuss was able to write so many books, especially those with complicated words, such as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas!
He also drew inspiration from drawing and painting books that he got from his father’s library. He later attended Dartmouth College to study English literature.
